The Fate of the Bee

Emma is about to say the fateful “I do” at the altar, but an unaccountable restlessness takes hold of her. Her life has been governed by others until now, and her mother’s death reveals a shattering secret: her real father is not the man who raised her, but a mysterious Moroccan musician her mother had met twenty-five years earlier, when she was an Erasmus student.

In an act of courage and rebellion, Emma sets out for Morocco, determined to find her own roots and take hold of her own destiny. Alone, telling no one, she embarks on a breathtaking adventure, facing the unknown and questioning everything she has ever believed. Along the way she will discover an inner strength she never imagined she had, opening the door onto a part of herself that had long stayed hidden.

“The Fate of the Bee” is an epic journey of self-determination and rebirth, in which its heroine discovers that the courage to follow her own heart can lead to extraordinary revelations and to a new way of seeing life.
