Caesar’s war

The film tells the story of a failed rebellion, beginning with a Sardinian mine that has exhausted its mining potential and, with it, its social role — but not its metaphorical force. The story starts here, at the end of things, with a community of workers left behind. From that moment grows the tale of two friends and fellow workers bound by a living, complicated relationship, until the death of one drives the other to search, somehow, for a sense of redemption.
